Hello Karen, ask your Aunty Eileen About the black mohair sweater, she'll know what you mean I'm sure especially if you mention Castleton!! I was Kathleen Harrison in those days, about 45 years ago, she'll also remember Maureen Duffy & Marylin Hodkin!! I knew all Eileen's brothers & sisters. Lorraine was my sister Jean's friend and neighbour on Thorntree Rd, sadly they both died at a young age. I hope you & your family are all ok, best regards, Kath

I used to live in Thorpe Hesley from when I was born (1990) to when I was 8 when my family had to move down to Dorset. I used to live in 77 Wentworth Drive :D I loved it and like to visit when we visit my auntie and cousins, who live in sheffield, and it looks pretty much just as I remembered it :)

I am related to the Hague`s and also Steer family (my maiden name)Steer family came from Wentworth, my grandmother was Beatrice Hague and she married Joseph Henry Steer at the Holy Trinity Church around 1869 and had 9 children the youngest being my father Lawrence Victor. Joseph was killed in a pit disaster in Tinsley March 1917. There is a Hague Lane not sure if this was named after the Hague family? but would love to hear from anyone who thinks they might be related to us.

I lived in the village between 1983-1988 and played football for the Red Lion Sunday league side during the same period. The photographs bring back many happy memories and will try and visit again soon. Hello, to anyone who may remember me and my wife Audrey (who served behind the bar in the Red Lion)
