| Wortley Top Forge A tour of the only Heavy Iron Forge to retain its original buildings, waterwheels and hammers and cranes. Meet at the site for 7p.m. Web site www.topforge.co.uk has directions and details. We need at least a dozen people. The visit should take about 2 hours, and will involve some walking round the site. With Robin Fielder, a 3 mile circular walk (you can shorten it if you wish) around the Industrial Archaeology centred on Kelham Island and following April’s talk. Start time 7.00 p.m., duration 2 hours because there's quite a lot of talking and pictures. All lectures are held at Thundercliffe Grange, and start at 7.30p.m. They normally last about an hour, and are followed by coffee and questions.All are welcome. Admission to complete programme of lectures is £9.50 (concessions £7.50). Entrance to individual lectures is £2 (concessions £1.50). Outdoor events and Christmas may be priced separately.
